Q- What kind of people go to Sculpt Conditioning?

Anyone and everyone in Ottawa with a fitness goal in mind! Our training centre is designed to both encourage and challenge all fitness levels. Do not let shape, size, or age deter you, Sculpt Conditioning offers a wide range of programs and we guarantee that you will find one well suited to your fitness goals. We establish a baseline for you and monitor your progress throughout your time with us. Whether you are new to working out or have been training since you could walk, we have a challenging training program for you!

Q- Do I need to bring anything to my sessions?

Other than a great attitude and determination to do your best… please bring with you a towel, a bottle of water, and good shoes. Depending on your goals, your trainer may also ask you to bring a nutrition log. We also recommend a hand towel to dry off any sweat.

Q- How long will it take me to lose weight?

This will be the direct result of the determination and effort you put into your goal! Our staff is here to guide you through effective exercise routines based specifically on your objective. We will also assist and motivate you to develop nutritious eating habits. The end result, however, rests on your adherence to the changes we prescribe, and the hard work you put into it.

Q- Can anyone join the classes? What if I’m not in shape?

Anyone can take our classes regardless of their fitness level. All exercises can be adapted as needed. Please let the instructor know if you have any limitations. We will push you and motivated you, but always be aware of your boundaries. Some participants may feel more comfortable booking a Personal Training session prior to starting classes to review exercise technique.

Q- What’s the deal with carbs?

Carbohydrates are not necessarily the enemy. In fact, you would be hard pressed to find a nutritionist, dietician, or fitness trainer who does not encourage the consumption of lots of vegetables!
Carbohydrates are absolutely necessary for brain and muscle function. They are energy! If, however, weight loss is your goal, we will evaluate your present diet and look for excess carbohydrate intake. We may also make recommendations to switch the type of carbohydrate you are consuming. Ie. replacing a high glycemic carb with a low glycemic carb, or make an addition of fibre.
As you are unique, so is this process. We will work through this with you.
